Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Fornacette has been founded in
1962, under the name of '
Cassa Rurale e Artigiana di Fornacette', by a group of local entrepreneurs, whose aim was to offer credit to partners.
Progressively the bank developed its services and structure establishing itself as a predominant presence in the territory, until the end of the
80’s. It maintained a solid and unique structure that helped it become a real economic stimulus in the area and in its operation fields. The number of shareholders grew sensibly and so our volumes of intermediation and credit solutions.
In the following ten years the company, due to its expansion, required a bigger and more adequate location. The architect Mariani was appointed for the plan and project of a new premise of the bank: a modern building in the very heart of Fornacette. The opening ceremony was fixed for
September 1995.
In
1990 the branch of
Pontedera was opened and started an intense process of development and expansion that is still in progress.
Today the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Fornacette can count on
19 branches, 2 treasury offices, 160 employees and
6.600 shareholders and the main characteristic of our service, oriented exclusively to families and small enterprises of the territory, has remained unchanged ever since the beginning. We help our customers to choose the best banking and financial solutions, counting on financial and specialized skills and a deep knowledge of the territory. Today, just like yesterday, our Bank is receptive and realizes plans and project affecting the economic and cultural development of the area in which it operates because it is a cooperative of associates which, for nearly 50 years, has gathered resources, also elsewhere, in order to invest in its territory.
