To improve its
relation with clients and the
quality of the services provided, Cabel, through Invest Banca, decided to offer, together with financial advice, a service of portfolio investment management, establishing a c
lose contact with the client, especially if a
retail client, who is eventually guided and helped in the selection of the right type of investment.
MiFID (European Financial Directive), art.4, par.1, n.4 defines the Service of Advice on Financial Investment as “
personalized advice to a client, by a financial enterprise, consisting in one or more operations linked to financial Instruments”.
In defining its
operation strategies for Advice on Financial Services, Invest Banca has identified two different approaches corresponding to two different operation modes depending on the requirements of the client.
- A service of advice that we could define as “adequate” that has the characteristic of being episodic. It is ideal in case of isolated operations on specific financial instruments and it has been thought for those clients in need of a direct contact with the bank.
- A service of advice at an added value that, instead of offering personalized advice on individual financial instruments operates on financial portfolios. In this case single operations are linked to an ampler logic of investment that aims at monitoring and defining the entire portfolio. The allocation of portfolio assets is not limited to the identification of specific instruments and their order of importance, but it will recommend specific financial instruments. The advisor will assemble a model portfolio based on the needs and characteristics of the client, in order to monitor the investment, suggesting possible actions for the improvement of portfolio return.
