Assets

Capital adequacy and accurate risks analysis, have acquired an increasing importance in the present bank context. The worldwide crises affecting our bank system, during which many important banks have experienced unprecedented problems of insolvency , finds its origin in the disproportion between the increasing of venture capital and the growth in intermediation. Capital adequacy has always represented the main goal of our Bank. Our main activity consists in perspective analysis and final balance checks, to maintain a proper financial surplus. The capital itself can’t be considered as an asset to absorb company risks if not supported by a well organized company structure and governance. Our strategy is based on those very principles according to the directive from our Administration Board.
The Bank financial situation must be considered as really solid. Indeed, after 2.750 million euro (as part of our profit) posted to reserves, the financial assets of the bank amount to 51,382 million, showing an increasing of 8,10% in 2008. The bank has known a global evaluation of 1,580 million in total, of which 1,378 million euro refer to previous material activities based on specific legislative bills and 0,175 million euro to currency reserves at a fair value of financial activities on selling, and the rest to future benefits to employees; 7,508 million is the amount that guarantees fixed assets coverage, and 1,948 the one covering bad credits; therefore our free capital amounts to 41,294, million showing a rise of about the 6,99% only in 2008.
